On May 9, 2016, Camp Hill Police Department did receive a call for a motor vehicle accident at North 32nd Street and Market Street. It was learned that the striking vehicle had fled the scene. An investigation was conducted which resulted in Accidents Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle and Driving Under Suspension charges were filed on a 28 year old male with a Harrisburg address.
On May 11, 2016 at approximately 0333 hours Camp Hill Police located a male in Siebert Park after the park was closed. An investigation revealed that the male was under the influence of a controlled substance. This resulted in an 18 year old male with a Camp Hill address being cited for Public Drunkeness.
On May 11, 2016 at approximately 0029 hours the Camp Hill Police Department was dispatched to the 2800 block of Lincoln Street for suspicious activity. Officers located a vehicle in the area and an investigation resulted in four subjects with Camp Hill addresses being cited for underage drinking.
On May 10, 2016 at approximately 1844 hours the Camp Hill Police Department was dispatched to the 100 block of November Drive for report of solicitors in the area who were going door to door. An officer located two subjects who were trying to sell electric service. An investigation revealed that the two subjects did not have the required Borough issued soliciting permits. This resulted in an 18 year old male with a Philadelphia address and a 29 year old female with a New Jersey address being cited for Borough Ordinance Violation – Soliciting Without a Permit.
On May 02, 2016 at approximately 2132 hours Camp Hill Police conducted a traffic stop on a bicyclist in the 1500 block of Market Street who was operating his bicycle without lighting after dark. During the stop an investigation revealed that the male bicyclist was in possession of items that he had stolen from the Giant Food Store in Camp Hill. This led to a 51 year old male with a Harrisburg address being arrested for Retail Theft.
On April 26, 2016 at approximately 7:35 p.m., Camp Hill Police Department were on patrol in the 2100 block of Page Street and did observe a group of individuals, both adults and pre-teens who were wearing orange vests, soliciting in the neighborhood. Officers did speak with the adults to let them know that they were not in compliance with the Borough Ordinance for soliciting, as they did not have permits and also they were out after the allowed hours. Upon identifying the individuals it was learned that a 38 year old male with a York address had a warrant out of Lancaster County. The male was detained and taken to Cumberland County Prison to be picked up by Lancaster County. All others were sent on their way after being told the Soliciting regulations of Camp Hill Borough.
On April 23, 2016 at approximately 2:15 a.m. Camp Hill Police Department received information regarding a hit and run accident. The struck vehicle was following the vehicle who hit him. CHPD got behind the striking vehicle at North 21st Street and Cumberland Blvd. and did conduct a traffic stop. Upon investigation and speaking with the victim, Driving Under the Influence Charges were filed on a 28 year old male with a Harrisburg address.
On April 22, 2016 at approximately 1:00 a.m., Camp Hill Police Department did conduct a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Cumberland Blvd. for speeding. Investigation resulted in Driving Under the Influence Charges to be filed on a 26 year old female with a Mechanicsburg address.
On April 18, 2016, at approximately 7:44 a.m. Camp Hill Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Cumberland Blvd for an intoxicated male stumbling along the roadway. Officers did respond and upon identifying the male it was learned he had multiple warrants out of Lancaster City. He was transported to Cumberland County Prison to be picked up by Lancaster Police Department. Camp Hill Police Department did file a Public Drunk charge on the 40 year old male with a Harrisburg address.
On April 14, 2016 at approximately 2:52 a.m. Camp Hill Police conducted a traffic stop on Market Street at South 15th Street. Upon contact with the driver and investigation a Driving Under the Influence Charge, as well as a Terroristic Threat charge were filed on a 28 year old male with a Harrisburg address.
